earlier today i made my first org.xcvr.lrc.media records! kinda had a silly typo at first, so the first first, and first second, and first third one all were org.xcvr.lrc.message records instead as i was very puzzled that everything seemed like it had finally gone correctly, but soon enough i made my second first record:
systems r gonna be very rough for a while, 50 years between invention of can and can opener. but i think that this is the state that i work more effectively in since its now mostly just making the frontend pretty n crap, and there are more things for me to hold onto on the backend, if i need to add some additional fields and stuff, no problems
on that note, i'm in the process of appview level bans. (it wasn't that hard to ban them, idk what the fuss is about). probably i'm gonna just add an optional field to profileviews that say if they're banned on the appview level, and i won't cache or serve images from banned dids, doing other things seems like not the vibe. maybe i won't cache records from banned users too, but that seems like a pain; alternatively to keep people from clogging up the chat history from other appviews, i just won't issue signets for banned users. idk, so much to code over here, and it's never gonna be perfect, (not at all an excuse to not work on it, but it makes it a bit less motivating to try and architect it all from the start)
it would be nice to have more additional contributors, i was thinking about like adding some issues n crap to tangled to make it a bit more approachable for others, but that always feels quite silly bc even if there were people who had the space to work on it, it appears to me that most features are kinda bigger in scope than would make sense to put as an issue, or so small that the time it takes to write what to do, i could have just done it already. bad at organizational work
so, this upcoming week, i plan on making the copy paste image thing pretty, i plan on making sure that bans work in a sorta reasonable manner, and i also hope to actually transmit the mediaviews in the event stream etc... oh and also i might have a system to clean blobs up after a day so it doesn't eat up disk space or whatever. idk, Things Are Happening
